Military career Edit
He was assigned to 501st Parachute Infantry Regiment of the 101st Airborne Division. Promoted to corporal August 14, 1994. Attended US Army Sniper School at Ft. Benning. Returned to his unit and served with distinction. Did two rotations in GCC peacekeeping force, and served as liaison with several PUK units in the Kurdish autonomous region. Volunteered for Ranger training after Operation Desert Strike. Graduated from Ranger program and assigned to 75th Ranger Regiment in June 12, 1998. Served with distinction in Operation Iraq Freedom; promoted to sergeant. Decorated twice, including Purple Heart. Reassigned to Ghosts in March 6th.
Barber barely made it through high school, but since joining the military has found his calling. Being selected for sniper training have him a purpose, and he seized it with both hands. An unrepentant Led Zeppelin fan, he claims that the only thing he misses about civilian life is letting his hair grow long. Barber speaks English and a smattering of Spanish. He's fond of tinkering with cars, a legacy of his upbringing with his father. When faced with a problem, whether it be a broken transmission or a tactical situation, Barber is cool and analytical. The rest of the time, he's boisterous. friendly, and outgoing, through even some of the other Ghosts find his humor to be crude on occasion.
