Karpin was a Russian General who worked with the Ultranationalists to install Dmitri Arbatov as President. Karpin became Prime Minister during the 2008 Russian war after Arbatov was dethroned. He privately requested NATO intervention in the war, and the Ultranationalists were soon defeated.
